Sledding
Sledding is a recreational activity typically reserved for kids. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, there are many opportunities for sledding. Basically, if there is snow and there is a slope, there can be sledding as well. All you need is an inexpensive snow sled (sleigh) and you are good to go.
Kids in Bosnia & Herzegovina get very excited at the arrival of first snow of the year. They greet it with various kinds of snow play – building a snowman, snowball fights and going sledding. Some of the best places for snow play including sledding include:
- Trebević mountain near Sarajevo – you can get there by car from Sarajevo, or by cable car.
- Konjuh mountain near Kladanj
- Bijambare Nature Preserve near Sarajevo
- Kupres Ski Center
- Kozara mountain
- Ravna planina
