Sarajevo Cable Car is a cable car in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, connecting the old part of the city with the mountain Trebević.
Sarajevo Cable Car
First built in 1959, the original Sarajevo Cable Car was destroyed during the Bosnian War (1992-1995).
It was reconstructed between 2017-2018. Sarajevo Cable Car features 33 modern cable cars that can transport 1,200 from the city to Trebević mountain per hour, with a ride duration of nine minutes each way.
The entire ride is panoramic with spectacular views of the city. A new hospitality facility, Coffe2Go, has opened at the arrival station for the Trebević cable car, offering a fantastic view of Sarajevo. The cost of one-way ride is 15 KM and return ticket 20 KM. Children under the age of seven can ride the cable car for free, those traveling with a bike will be charged 4 KM extra and all the cabins are pet friendly. Tickets can be bought at the departure station.
The destination at Trebević mountain offers nature hiking, walking and hotels with restaurants and cafes.
