Nature Park & Reserve Bardača
Lake Bardača is a lake and marshes complex about 30 kilometers from Banja Luka, close to the northern border with Croatia, in the municipality of Srbac. Areas of the lake and marshes are protected as nature park and designated as a Ramsar (Convention on Wetlands) site, hence of great ecological value.
The Bardača wetlands are a series of 11 lakes situated between the rivers Vrbas and Sava. This 670- hectare reserve is home to over 100 types of birds, including colonies of protected birds, marshes and aquatic flora and fauna. It is a fascinating place for bird watching. The 11-lake reserve is also open to fishing and hunting.
