Jablanica Lake Beach Among the 100 Best Beaches in the World

The British portal Beachatlas published a list of the 100 best beaches in the world. Bora Bora, a stunning tourist destination in the heart of the Pacific Ocean, took first place, as expected. The Criteria

This list was created taking into account a broader perspective of vacation spot analysis. Their top criteria may have been the beauty of the landscape and sand, but they were certainly not decisive. The Beachatlas included other criteria:

  • The value of the beach for the local community
  • The quality of life of the place
  • Its cultural significance.

This way it became possible to focus on those natural pearls that usually do not end up on traditionally tailored lists of the most beautiful beaches.

The Description

“The Jablaničko Lake in Bosnia and Herzegovina is known for the restaurants on the lake that serve the best roast lamb in the world, which is also evident from the always full parking lots. Since Lake Jablaničko is a place where many travelers make a stop on their way to the Adriatic Sea, there is a popular saying: “You haven’t been to the sea if you haven’t eaten roast lamb on Lake Jablaničko”. The lake is also popular for swimming, kayaking and camping, surrounded by various apartments and hotels,” Beachatlas states in its description.
